'Be big as the Journey is small' - by Emma Zappone

Hello everyone,

Em with you today and I have an 8x8 canvas to share with you.
It has Steampunk vibes.

And here are the chipboard pieces used....

12x12 Weathered Clock Face Frames
Steampunk Gears Medium
Steampunk Gears small
6" Circle Zipper Frame set

I trimmed the medium Clock face to create an 'edge' to place on the base of my layers on the canvas.

The clock and the zipper frame both have the same finish. It started with a mix of complimentary colours in distress oxides, and then finished with a clear emboss.

The gears are painted with an acrylic ink in burnt sienna and raw sienna.
I love how these sit nestles into the flower clusters.

The small elements really add to the completeness of the project.

I hope you enjoy this share and get inspired by some of the elements.

Have a great weekend and I will catch you all again soon.

Till then, stay Crafty
Em xx

"Just Me"
Layout By
Di Garling

Well hi there & hello. Di Garling here with you on the blog today.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Today I have another layout to share with you & it features
some awesome pieces of our favourite 2Crafty Chipboard.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used...
Just Me - title
Chicken Wire Panel
Mini Title Stick - Set #3

So after a little stenciling on my background I set about
altering my chipboard pieces.

In the photos you can see I have cut the "Chicken Wire" panel
& I have inserted three seperate pieces in an around the photo
clustering & I still have plenty left to use on other projects too.
I simply gave the chicken wire two coats of white acrylic paint. Too easy!

Next piece I used was this super cute title, "JUST ME". Gee you can
use this title on just about any scrapbook layout.

For this title piece, & also for the little "2022" date chippie piece in the
lower right corner of the layout, they were given a coat of white gesso first
followed by a coat of red acrylic paint. I wanted these two pieces to really pop !!

The final chippie piece I used on this layout was the
"Happy Life" which is from the "Mini Title Sticks - Set #3".

For this piece I just wiped it over with a super light coat of
white acrylic paint making sure not to clog up the engraved writing on it!!

All finished.
I do hope you like my layout today & if you would like to see

"Love at First Sight" with Amy Voorthuis

Hi lovely creative peeps,
Hope you are enjoying your day! I am always in my happy place while creating for 2Crafty Chipboard and all their lovely chipboard designs. For this layout I have used an older paper collection {2010 to be exact} by "Webster Pages" which is still one of my favorite manufacturers from back then. I of course used another cute picture of our little Abbey! Enjoy my post.....

Love at First Sight:

2Crafty Chipboard used:

All the chipboard pieces are treated with white gesso after that I altered them in different ways for the phrase I have used white embossing powder and after that I added some wax. The feathers I colored with some spray paint & matte acrylic paint and also some wax.

The clock faces are treated with brown matte acrylic paint and some metallique paint and in the end with some coral wax. The beautiful corner I just gessod and then stampt on it with one of my favorite stamps that has little dots on it. The pram set is so cute I altered it with some magicals and posca pens.

Thank you so much for your visit today and if you would like

Create, “Easter creativity at home”
By Charmane Sharp

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter, enjoying quality time with your
loved ones. I love to decorate my home to celebrate and this was a display
I put together last year. My creativity extends to other avenues not just
Scrapbooking and it brings me joy.

2Crafty Chipboard used...

Frame Doodled
Chloe's Vine
Arrow Word set 1
Moroccan bits

Arrow Words are perfect for a simple title with decorative effect. I used
my finger to apply Impasto Pink paint for a textural finish on the Arrow.
Then I painted the word with Finnabair Butterfly Spells.

I cut the Doodled Frame to fit under my photo and rubbed it with Rose Gold
wax. Draws attention to the photo in a less subtle way.

Wanting a little texture to break up my floral cluster, I added some pieces
of the Moroccan bits which I sponged a little of the Butterfly spells paint
on so you could still see some of the Gesso.

Chloe's Vines add greenery to break up the shades of pink. I applied
Finnabair's new waxes in Moss Green and Acid. Then I lightly brushed
some Gesso over the top to soften the finish a little.

Papers by Uniquely Creative were used to make this layout and a Resin
Bunny head for that Easter feel. Thanks for taking a look today and I will
share another creation with you shortly.

Until next time...

summer time ~ by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone! Welcome to the blog, happy you stopped by.

This layout is of my granddaughter from many years ago. In fact, I actually used these photos on a layout that I made when she was 5 years old back in 2009. I love to go back to older photos and give them a  fresh look on a new layout. Also, over the years, my style has evolved and I have learned new techniques. So, as of late, this has been kind of my thing!

Hope you like it.

"summer fun"

Beautiful 2Crafty I used:

summer fun

We are Cruising through life one port at a time

Ava's Frame

Circle Revolution Frame

6" Circle Revolution Frame

Elegant Flourish

3 Words...Gesso. Gesso. Gesso... that chipboard ladies!

On the upper right of the photos I tucked in the Elegant Flourish under the top of the flower cluster. I used a mixture of Crome Oxide and Neutral Gray Acrylic Paint, with a touch of Ivory Black Acrylic Paint to give it a dusty green look.

I cut the circle off of the Ava's Frame and just used the flourish part. Placing it here at the bottom of the flowers draws the eye down around the photos. This was painted the same was the Elegant Flourish.

The highlight of the layout is the combination of Circle Revolution Frames. I used the large frame from the Circle Revolution Frames, along with one from the smaller 6" Circle Revolution Frames. I cut them to create a semi-circle that would sweep around the composition. I wanted them to be pink, but different shades. I painted the large one with Pink Mica Powder mixed in White Acrylic Paint, and the smaller one was painted with a mixture of White and Rose Pink Acrylic Paint. I love how these work together!

Now the title took some thinking! I often will cut the titles to only use specific words, and that's what I did here. I chose these particular words because of the photos. Since it was 'summer time' when these photos were taken, it just clicked when I was going through my titles.

I cut the word 'summer' from the summer fun title, and the word 'time' from the we are cruising through life one port at a time title, because they are the the same font and pretty much the same size. I wanted them to be a different shade of green from the Elegant Flourish and Ava's Frame, but just a little lighter. I painted them with Spring Green Mica Powder mixed in White Acrylic Paint.

I hope I have inspire you with the versatility of 2Crafty chipboard. If you can imagine it, it can be done!! See you all next time...

"Snow Happy"
Layout By Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

This layout was inspired by the happiness of my grandson in this photo taken recently
during the ski holidays.
He was so proud to win his first medal for his skiing debut.

"Snow Happy"

2Crafty Chipboard used:

- Snow Happy
- 6" Circle Zipper Frame Set
- Funky Outline Christmas Trees
- Crystal Snowflakes

To achieve this layout I was inspired by the colors of my grandson’s outfit.

I start by using black gesso on the chipboards "Circle Zipper Frame" and "Funky Outline Christmas".
On the circle I add a thin layer of "Old White" matte wax.

On the chipboard "Funky Outline Christmas" I choose different colors and materials.
A wax "Lucky Emerald", embossing powder "Ghouly Goblin Green" and again wax "Old White.
I love layering chipboard!

I use "White" embossing powder to embellish the "Crystal Snowklakes" chipboards
and I insert them into my embellishment cluster.

I do the same for the title, but I make it even whiter by applying two layers.

Nothing special for this layout, just add beautiful chipboards and voila.

Many thanks for your visit!
